Hypoallergenic niobium 8mm and 10mm continuous rings. Also known as seamless rings.

Twist sideways to open and close (see photos). The smaller gauge and larger size rings are the easiest to open so 0.8mm gauge 10mm rings will be the easiest and 1.2mm gauge 8mm rings will be the hardest.

0.8mm, 1mm or 1.2mm gauge?
0.8mm/20 gauge (the same thickness as Blomdahl titanium and Studex Sensitive earrings) or 1mm/18 gauge continuous rings are good if your piercings have shrunk or were originally pierced with a smaller size, being thinner they are also easier to twist open and closed. 1.2mm/16 gauge is the standard size ears are pierced with. 0.8mm/20 gauge is popular for nostril piercings.

Which size?
The sizes listed are for the internal diameter of the continuous rings so if you measure out from you piercing you should get a good idea of how each size would sit.

Bought these as my piercings weren't healing. One week later -all healed up. The colour (green) is a lovely shiny blue/green. Easy to fit and remove and comfortable to sleep in.

Continuous ring

This is a lovely earring. It's very difficult to open and close. I've sat twisting it open and closed to no avail. I then ordered a hinged version - of course it's more expensive but it's so much kinder to the ear and easy to put in and out.
Spend the bit extra for the hinged version.

I don't normally leave reviews but I just wanted to leave a quick note to say that I am allergic to most jewellery and can usually only wear titanium. Thought I'd give this a go as I wanted to change from a stud to a ring in my nose and I've had no issue with the material at all! I kept the stud close by expecting to have a reaction and it's been in for a week now and all is well.

Not great

I could twist these back together in my ears okay, but there was still a tiny gap that would either get caught inside the piercing and create a little discomfort on rotating the ring, or would catch my hair while I was sleeping and cause problems later with tangles.

Response:

With any continuous rings that don't quite meet you should be able to close the gap by twisting the ring open and then gently pushing the two halves together as you twist it closed. You might have to do it a few times to get the ends too meet perfectly and it's much easier if you're not putting the ring in a piercing at the time as you've got more of the ring to hold to.

Niobium purple 8mm 20g continuous ring

Really happy with these. They are a bit awkward to get out if you get the smaller size, but I've left them in anyway. Due to wearing other earrings, after a period of no earrings for months, my earlobes flared up. One got infected and the glands were up down my neck. I changed to 9ct gold and that ear would not heal at all. Bought these hoops and within days the glands went down and the ear lobe healed. I'm a niobium convert. Once you get these in they are really easy to wear, you can just forget about them. If you can't handle fidlly things, I'd go for the 10mm size, probably. I think I've talked myself into getting a 10mm size now haha!

No irritation Next time I will get a coloured set, the natural polished ones are too dull and look a bit like wire. (Size: 10mm, Gauge: 0.8mm)

Metal Allergies
Niobium looks very similar to titanium but is an element rather than an alloy (a mix of metals), it is ideal if you are allergic to nickel, silver or gold.

Like titanium it can be anodised, changing the surface colour of the metal to create a range of colours. Niobium used in a jewellery has to be as pure as possible and is sometimes know as 999 Niobium or 99.9% niobium.
